Santos star is very uncertain for Brazil

An prolonged absence of Neymar would aggravate the few difficult weeks he spent. He was in tears after Santos' 6-0 defeat against Vasco Da Gama, a rival of the fight against relegation last weekend, and the Cleber Xavier coach was dismissed following this result.

Neymar has not yet played with Brazil since the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti, former coach of Real Madrid, Milan and Chelsea, in May. The Italian invoked recurrent injuries to justify his decision not to select it during his first selection.

It remains to be seen if Ancelotti will include Neymar in the group for the double confrontation of Brazil against Chile and Bolivia in September. The Seleçao assured its qualification for the 2026 World Cup next summer thanks to a 1-0 victory against Paraguay in June.
