Roberto de Zerbi does not exclude the reintegration of Adrien Rabiot in Marseille, despite a fight in a pub with his teammate Jonathan Rowe.

Marseille was in shock after the revelation of a fight between Rowe and Rabiot, who led to the injury of a teammate, following the defeat against Rennes. The two players were immediately suspended, then placed on the transfers list by the French club. Although Rowe was sold in Bologna, the Zerbi coach could soften his position concerning Rabiot.

Scandalous fight between Rabiot and Rowe

Asked about his wish to recruit a new number 10 after the exclusion of Rabiot, he replied: “No, I think that (Amine) Gouiri can do it. He has already done so in the past and he has the qualities to do so. We are missing about four or five players. Regarding Rabiot, I said yesterday, and even if I have not yet spoken with Pablo (Longoria) (club president) and Medhi (Benatia) (sports director), I hope it will not depend on the quality of the player, but the quality of the man. Even if he made an error, there is a chance to correct the shot. “

Marseille puts his duo for sale

Marseille, deprived of Rabiot and Rowe, won a well-deserved 5-2 victory against Paris FC on Saturday, thus taking third place in Ligue 1 after two days. The French international was 29 times for the French club last season, while the former Norwich City striker Rowe has only been six times. In this context, Rabiot would represent a greater loss for Marseille, and that is perhaps the reason why De Zerbi hesitates to leave him, despite this embarrassing episode.

A little over a week of the summer transfer window, it remains to be seen if Rabiot will still be in Marseille on September 2 or if he will follow Rowe. Before that, Zerbi's team will face Lyon next Sunday in Ligue 1.
