In May 2024, Giuseppe Marotta became the new president of Inter Milan by succeeding Chinese Steven Zhang, following the takeover of Oaktree as owner of the Nerazzurro club. About a year after his appointment to the presidency, Marotta as well as the funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, LP (“Oaktree”), wanted to strengthen their partnership. Marotta's investment reflects its commitment to the club as well as its full membership in long -term objectives shared with Oaktree, in the interest of the club and its continuous development ”notably said the press release published by the Vice-Champion of Italy.
