The legend of Didier Drogba is a little overgoed … We are talking about his start of a career. The native of Abidjan does not disembark from nowhere, far from it. He grew up with Ligue 2 clubs to the rhythm of his uncle's career Michel Goba, before becoming the already imposing prodigy of young people from Levallois. Spotted by the Le Mans club (which was called MUC 72 at the time), Drogba was able to finish its training there, before being launched in Ligue 2 in May 1999, at the age of 21.

Didier Drogba started his magnificent career in the Sarthois club, by counting a total of 72 games for 15 goals scored in two and a half years. The Idol of Côte d'Ivoire is part of the cast of the Legends of Legends of Legends of Le Mans FC, scheduled for October 11 at the Marie-Marvingt stadium (formerly Mmarena), with his compatriot Gervinho or Laurent Bonnart.

Drogba quickly proved to be in D2, scoring 7 goals in 1999-2000, but then chained injuries, especially muscle. Daniel Cousin lining, he has no longer managed to make his power and his sense of goal speak. It must be said that, once his first professional contract signed, the future winner of the Champions League with Chelsea has enjoyed life. He did
“The 400 shots” with “The teammates of the training center, the Frédéric Thomas, Yohann Hautcœur, Laurent Bonnart, James Fanchone”.

Didier Drogba Young revelers

Drogba once told in Ouest-France:: “In Le Mans, I was elusive, I must say it. Honestly, not being busy, it was very difficult for me to respect certain rules required for a career as a high -level footballer. You are young, you have friends, you are still a student, you go out on Thursday evening. I was happy, I discovered, I had never known that. I lived my youth in Le Mans, even if it penalized me, even if it was delaying in my training. I was too often injured … “
It has the merit of being honest.

Not reliable professionally, Didier Drogba needed a change of decor to take off. The story, there, is quite crazy: Guy Lacombe, the coach of En Avant Guingamp, then last of D1, needed a new striker in January 2002 after the departure of Fabrice Fiorèse and the injury of Stéphane Guivarc'h. He then recruited the crusader striker during a preparation match, against the sum of 100,000 euros. The explosion was total among the residents of Roudourou, alongside Florent Malouda in particular. A year later, Drogba was able to fulfill one of his kids' dreams: playing OM.
