The first day of Ligue 1 continues. AS Monaco received Le Havre at the Louis-II stadium. In an enclosure marked by the presence of Paul Pogba in the stands, the Le Havre quickly showed their will to play without complex, by putting intensity and settling high on the ground. Didier Digard's men were solid and well in place defensively the first ten minutes.
But it was the Monegasques who were able to obtain the first real opportunity in the 18th minute. Taking advantage of a bad recovery of Sangané, Biereth had time to arm a strike right next to the Diaw post. Overall, ASM had trouble imposing its pace in the face of the physical impact of the HAC, incisive in duels and attentive in its surface, where several centers were intercepted.
The meeting switched to the 32ᵉ minute. While Ebonog had just come out to be treated, Monaco exploited the space left free. Found in the area, Golovin centered strongly in front of the goal, forcing Lloris to deflect the ball, which finished at the bottom of the nets despite Diaw's intervention. Released by this opening of the score, the ASM accentuated its pressure and could have doubled the setting just before the break, Akliouche finding the amount on a chained strike. Le Havre suffered and joined the locker room led 1-0.
Successful first to dier
In the second half, Monaco continued on his momentum at the end of the first period, clearly taking control of the match. Le Havre, already in difficulty, has almost never managed to worry the Monegasque defense, undergoing the repeated offensives of the ASM which multiplied the centers and the strikes. The station wagon intervened in the 60ᵉ minute thanks to Dier, who perfectly celebrated his beginnings with Monaco under the attentive gaze of “La Pioche”.
The HAC tried to react, in particular with the individual feat of Ndiaye in the 67ᵉ, but that was not enough. Akliouche sealed the scoring on a decisive pass from Zakaria (74 ′), offering quiet victory in Monaco. Despite a triple change of Digard in the last quarter of an hour, the score has no longer evolved and the ASM won 3-1 against a catchy but outdated haven.
