The very influential Jorge Mendes played a crucial role in FC Barcelona during this summer transfer window. According to information from Sportthe Portuguese players' agent has released almost 30 million euros in financial fair play in recent weeks. Among its key operations is the sale of 50 % of Trinchrie's rights to Sporting CP for 11 million euros, a decisive operation which enabled the registrations of two new recruits: the porter Joan García and the striker Marcus Rashford.
Mendes also ensured the extension of Lamine Yamal, even if he failed to bring in some of his stars, like Denzel Dumfries (Inter Milan), proposed but deemed too expensive by the Blaugrana. He is also behind several fairly surprising departures, often concluded in short deadlines, notably by orchestrating the express loan of ASU Fati at AS Monaco, which allowed Barça to save more than 60 % of his salary before June 30. Finally, it also managed the sale of Pau Víctor to Sporting Braga for 12 million euros (+3M in variables).
