Chelsea quickly declined the last offer from Borussia Dortmund for Carney Chukwuemeka, a qualified proposal as “insulting” by the club.

The blues favor players' sales to make room for their targets of choice, Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho, and have aroused the interest of several other clubs for the 20 -year -old midfielder.

Chelsea rejects Dortmund's loan offer

Chelsea rejected Borussia Dortmund's offer for Chukwuemeka, structured as a loan with purchase obligation. The Blues would not have been impressed by the financial conditions, qualifying the offer of “insulting” according to Fabrizio Romano. Several other clubs are also in the running, Chelsea favoring a final sale of the 20 -year -old player.

Chelsea seeks to lighten its workforce in anticipation of potential prestigious signatures. Simons and Garnacho are at the top of their limited list, but these two transfers depend on fundraising. To separate from marginal players like Chukwuemeka is considered essential to free up space in the workforce and meet financial requirements.

Blues favor sales to finance Simons and Garnacho

Chukwuemeka joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2022, but encountered difficulties in obtaining regular playing time. Injure and fierce competition in the midfielder limited his opportunities in the Enzo Maresca team. If the blues are open to a sale, they want an amount reflecting the potential of the player.

Chelsea will continue discussions with interested clubs for a final transfer from Chukwuemeka. Borussia Dortmund could decide to return with an improved proposal, while other contenders follow the situation closely. In the meantime, Chelsea remains focused on the progress of negotiations for Simons and Garnacho before closing the transfer window.
