AS Saint-Etienne asserts itself as the most active club in Ligue 2 this summer, with already nine recruits and a transfer window still in progress. The powerful shareholder of the Greens allows the club to target high to rebuild a team capable of quickly finding Ligue 1. But if arrivals are multiplying, departures remain at the center of the concerns of the Stéphanois staff.

The site in green and against all announces several players on the start. Dylan Batubinsika and Yvann Mason, who have been training apart since the start of the summer, appear on this list, just like Benjamin Bouchouari, whose contract ends in a year. The most sensitive files, however, relate to Lucas Stassin and Zuriko Davitashvili, authors of a great season in Ligue 1 and wishing to join a major European championship.

ASSE intends to remain firm. “If these unwanted departures were to materialize, ASSE obviously plans to replace them. However, the watchword concerning them remains the same since the beginning of the summer: firmness “specifies the specialized media. This line also concerns Pierre Ekwah, recently acquired by Sunderland for 6 million euros, who wants to leave the club despite the lifting of his purchase option.

Status quo around Ekwah and Eymard

Pierre Ekwah, officially linked to ASSE until 2029, still trains individually in Paris and does not intend to evolve in Ligue 2.. His trainer, Eirik Horneland, regrets a lack of communication: “I have no more news than last Thursday about Pierre Ekwah. It is a status quo “he said at a press conference.

A similar situation touches Paul Eymard, whose contract has not yet been extended. “Eymard, I have no news compared to his situation either. I think the file is at the same point, it is currently with the training center ”add Horneland. Saint-Etienne will have to manage these files with caution to maintain a competitive workforce and prepare a quick climb in Ligue 1.
