It is now official: Gianluigi Donnarumma will leave Paris Saint-Germain. Located from the list for the European Super Cup, the Italian goalkeeper confirmed his departure after being excluded by Luis Enrique, who fully assumes this decision and explains looking for a different profile in club goals.

This context marks the outcome of a long contractual showdown: Donnarumma, pillar of the historic PSG season – notably the Champions League – saw its contract expiring in June 2026, but the extension negotiations brought up on the financial methods. With the arrival of Lucas Chevalier, recruited to become number 1, the rupture has become inevitable.

A lack of respect

In a press release relayed by Sky Sport, Enzo Raioloa, the agent of Donnarumma expressed a deep indignation: ” We are shocked by PSG. There is zero respect for the club after these four years together. We will assess the situation with our lawyers. Gigio was even ready to lower his salary but PSG revised the conditions of the contract again. »» This muscular outing underlines the bitterness of the Donnarumma clan in the face of what it perceives as an unfair treatment.

The goalkeeper, who had been one of the craftsmen of the club's European success, is now forced to turn the page before having been able to say a real farewell to the supporters of the Parc des Princes. Several English clubs, including Manchester City and Manchester United, are now on the lookout in this explosive file.
