Wednesday evening, Udine will be placed under close surveillance to accommodate the UEFA Super Cup between Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur, scheduled for 9:00 p.m. at Stadio Friuli. Classified “at very high risk” by the Italian and international authorities, the event will mobilize around 1,000 agents, including 600 from other regions. Under the coordination of the Pasquale police chief Antonio de Lorenzo, the device will include deminers, anti -assembly units, as well as helicopters equipped with cameras and night vision glasses. UEFA confirmed the sale of 6,600 tickets to Parisian supporters and 4,700 to English fans, the rest of the 23,000 places being reserved for a neutral audience.

The central point of these measures, the “supporters' walk” will bring together approximately 900 Ultras from PSG, expected on the morning of August 13. Starting from their fan zone awarded at 6.30 p.m., they will go to the stadium under the massive escort of police, riflemen and Guardia di Finanza agents. This organization aims to prevent any incident, by separating groups of supporters and controlling flows in the city. Udine, usually calm, will thus turn into a highly secure area for a decisive evening for European football.
