Present on Saturday at the “Green of 18” charitable golf tournament, near Bonn (Germany), Uli Hoeness had to be hospitalized in an emergency, reports the daily Bild. Participants would have noticed that the honorary president of Bayern Munich seemed to falter while he posed for photos. Supported on site, he was transported by ambulance around 7 p.m. He was finally able to leave the hospital around 10 p.m.
Aged 73, the former German international first occupied the presidency of Bayern Munich from 2009 to 2014, before being found guilty of tax fraud and sentenced to three and a half years in prison in March 2014. Incarcerated between June 2014 and January 2015, he then benefited from parole until February 2016. He then resumed the reins of the Bavarian club for a second term, until 2019.
