The information is not new but it materializes as and when discussions. The NBA wants to create a European basketball league and tries to integrate large multisport clubs. According to The Athletic, the American League negotiates in particular with PSG and Real Madrid. Adam Silver, the boss of the NBA, was even in Paris on July 31.

He wishes to create a basketball championship in Europe with 16 franchises representing the big cities of the continent like Paris, London, Madrid, Berlin and Istanbul, on the North American model. For the moment, it is only a project but the NBA officially communicated on it last March and would even like to launch its European NBA from the 2026-2027 season.
