MU: Old Trafford's store prohibits CR7 flocking

Manchester United fans hoping to floac the name of Cristiano Ronaldo number 7 on their new 2025-2026 jersey will have to make a cross on this idea. Despite the long -awaited release of the home jersey this summer, an opinion displayed in the official Old Trafford store has cooled the enthusiasm of the supporters. Indeed, for reasons of “License restrictions”it is impossible to have the name of CR7 printed, a real legend of the club and legendary carrier of the number 7. A decision that surprised more than one, as the name Ronaldo remains engraved in the history of the Red Devils and the world football.

According to the Manchester Evening NewsManchester United simply does not hold the rights necessary to use Ronaldo's name for commercial purposes. Same story on the side of Real Madrid, which is also unable to print the name of the Portuguese icon on its jerseys. Many fans have indignant on the networks, pointing to modern football increasingly controlled by legal considerations. And Cristiano is not an isolated case: Eric Cantona and David Beckham, also glorious former clubs and illustrious carriers of number 7, are affected by the same ban.
