Udine and the whole region of Frioul-Vénétie Julienne are preparing to live a historic moment with the organization of the final of the UEFA Super Cup 2025, Wednesday August 13 at Bluenergy Stadium-Stadio Friuli. For this exceptional meeting between Paris Saint-Germain, winner of the Champions League, and Tottenham Hotspur, crowned in the Europa League, the kick-off will be given at 9:00 p.m. in an effervescence enclosure. Well beyond the field, the event already shines throughout the region thanks to a series of initiatives carried by Promoturismofvg, the Frioul-Vénétie Julienne region, the municipality of Udine, the Figc and the UEFA. Many museums will open their doors for free or offer discounts to ticket holders, while the streets of the five cities affected by the “Trophy Experience” will be decorated in the colors of the Super Cup. This vast project was presented on June 30 at an official press conference at Bluenergy Stadium, in the presence of leading political and sports figures. In the dynamics of this event, the volunteer program made it possible to mobilize 300 people from 27 different nationalities, almost half of which are women. Among them, 195 volunteers come from Frioul-Vénétie Julienne, highlighting the local anchoring of the project. They will be mobilized in stadiums, fanzones and various official places, contributing to the reception, logistical organization and information for supporters.

“”This is an extremely important event, followed by 22 million viewers during its previous edition, and which will make Julienne Frioul-Vénétia shine around the world. Choosing Udine to accommodate the final of the European Super Cup 2025 between PSG and Tottenham is to recognize the quality of our facilities, the logistical centrality of the region and the vast know-how, especially in terms of security, developed over the years by the whole of the institutional and regional system for the organization of events of this scale: a recognition of which we are very proud. Finally, there is football competition, with two world class clubs in competition, whose best players will participate in a match that will remain forever in the sports history of Frioul-Vénétie Julienne“Said Massimiliano Fedriga, president of the Frioul-Vénétie Julienne region. To strengthen the identity of this Italian edition of the Super Cup, UEFA designed a unique logo combining the emblem of the tournament to a strong symbol of the region: the eagle, which evokes at the same time power, elegance and territorial anchoring. This image will be found on all visual media, creating aesthetic coherence on a regional scale.

A program with small onions

From July 29 to August 13, five emblematic cities of Frioul-Vénétie Julienne will host the “Trophy Experience”, a traveling event during which the most prestigious trophies in European football-the Champions League, the Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup-will be exposed to the general public. Each stage will open with an official ceremony at 11:00 am, bringing together local authorities and sports ambassadors from the “IO Sono Friuli Venezia Giulia” initiative. “”For Udine, hosting the UEFA Super Cup final is a source of pride and satisfaction. Sports events of such an international importance are generally taking place in major cities or European capitals. This is why choosing Udine is an exceptional success that we are very proud of. I would like to thank UEFA for the confidence it grants to our city, as well as Figc, Udinese Calcio and the Julienne Frioul-Vénétie region for their joint efforts which have made this important success possible. This event is an opportunity in many ways: economic, sporting, cultural and tourist.
