The 2018 World Champions continue to animate the transfer market. After the surprising rebound of Thomas Lemar, about to join Girona, it is now Benjamin Pavard who is affected by a possible departure. The French defender, who was a long time a manager of Didier Deschamps, could well leave Inter Milan in the coming weeks.

Recruited in the summer of 2023 from Bayern Munich, Pavard played 69 games under the colors of the Nerazzurri. Regular and versatile in the rearguard of Simone Inzaghi, now left for Al Hilal, he was able to win despite a season marked by several physical seeds. Capable of playing in central defense or on the right side, its profile remains appreciated.

But according to information from Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the Inter, now led by Cristian Chivu, would seriously plan to separate from the tricolor defender. In question: a high salary estimated at nearly 6 million euros annually, which the Lombard management would seek to relieve to rebalance its payroll.

No offers for the moment

Despite his injuries in the second half of the season, Pavard retains a good rating in Europe. Valued at 25 million euros by TransferMarkt, it represents a credible target for several ambitious clubs in search of experience and defensive solidity.

Under contract until 2028, the former Bavarian has not yet received a concrete offer. But as journalist Fabrizio Biasin said on Telelombardia :: “I believe that in the event of presentation of an offer, the Inter would not have too many problems to answer it. For the moment, I have no return on requests about it. »»
