EA Sports finally wants to reconcile all virtual football fans. After a disappointing 2025 edition, FC 26 presents itself as a direct response to criticism. More than just an annual update, this new version assumes a clear turn: correcting errors, improving experience and talking to all players, whether purists of career or addicts in competitive mode. EA listened to the most sharp feedback. The dribble is gaining in fluidity thanks to new animations, the synchronized shots have been deleted, and three types of sprints appear according to the player. The defenders benefit from more readable defensive personalities, and the tackles/interceptions are better calibrated. So many micro-adjustments that can change the physiognomy of a match.
Reliable and useful guards (finally)
For a long time pointed out, the guards are enjoying this year a real evolution. The AI assists them more, with better calculated parade trajectories, new reflexes and more natural animations. The repositioning is more realistic, and the ball has been refined. Bonus: The Rush 5V5 mode now allows them to be controlled too.
Accessibility: Welcome attention
FC 26 offers advanced personalization of the interface and accessibility options. Adjustable high contrast mode, clear icons, gestures via right stick, better readability of subtitles … These additions allow a wider audience to play comfortably, a real step towards the inclusiveness of video games.
Increased personalization and loyalty
Finally, EA strengthens the immersion elements. The Playstyles are enriched (spectacular shots, physical domination, creative vision, etc.), and the FC IQ system is now more flexible, better integrated. The game aims for more consistency between the player's profile, his gestures and his impact on the field. Without turning everything up, FC 26 refines the experience so that it seems more authentic.
