As the Asian tour approaches, the Board of Directors of FC Barcelona, gathered on Tuesday July 22, under the chairmanship of Joan Laporta, looked into a burning file: the opening of the new Spotify Camp Nou. The town hall of Barcelona recently refused to grant the first occupation license, preventing the club from organizing the Gamper trophy on August 10. Barça now targets an offbeat opening on September 13 or 14, for the reception of Valence in Liga.

In parallel, a plan B is actively studied: temporarily return to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, where the land could be reinstalled. A decision must be made by mid-August, UEFA requiring that a club competes for the entire group phase of the Champions League in the same stadium according to Mundo Deportivo. This logistical setback comes when the club wants to make Camp Nou renovated a strong symbol of its sporting and economic recovery. But administrative uncertainty complicates the transition. The site is advancing, but the shadow of a new postponement hovers on the long -awaited return of the Blaugranas in their mythical enclosure.
