Bayer Leverkusen hardly seems to be inclined to let other key elements spin during this summer transfer window. After seeing Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz take the direction of Liverpool, then Jonathan Tah join Bayern Munich, the vice-champion of Germany intends to lock what remains of his framework.

This will was displayed without detour in the Xhaka granite file. Courted by Sunderland, freshly promoted in the Premier League, the 32-year-old Swiss international comes up against the end of this in the German club, as confirmed by his coach Erik Ten Hag.

Inflexible ten hags and rolfates

The Dutch technician did not chew his words at a press conference to recall the importance of the nati community:
“Granit is a leader, he still has three years of contract here, he is too important for being left to go”decided the Batavian.

Same story on the side of the Werkself sports director, Simon Rolfes, who recalled that a transfer of Xhaka could only materialize with the agreement of the three parts. A scenario which, for the moment, seems far from being topical.
