The classic PSG-OM is over

Created from scratch by Canal+ and Bernard Tapie, the rivalry between PSG and OM has (a little) lost its flavor in the past ten years.

For many years now, Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille have not “boxed” in the same category. While the capital's club has just made the best season in its history, this trend does not seem ready to reverse.

Yet Roberto de Zerbi does not lose hope. The Italian technician intends to compete with the red and blue in Ligue 1, less than a month from the resumption of the championship. Regarding direct oppositions between the two teams, the Italian technician no longer really has any illusions.

“The Clasico (in Italy) is Juve-Inter, on ten meetings, four Inter Victories of Inter, five from Juve, and a draw. The classic, PSG-OM, out of the last 23 matches, 19 victories in Paris, 3 draws and a victory for OM. For me, it is not a classico. Afterwards, if you want to continue talking about clasico, talk about clasico ”, explained the former coach of Brighton during an interview given to The team.

PSG-OM, Paris is largely in mind racing

Like almost all football followers, Roberto de Zerbi has been charmed by the attractive game developed by PSG since the start of the calendar year. “Paris, last season, was almost unbeatable, he recalled. And this Paris, which had not Kylian Mbappé, neither Lionel Messi, nor Neymar, was more a team than the one before. On this plan, Luis Enrique was extraordinary. »»

All competitions, PSG presents a total of 52 victories in 109 matches, against 34 successes for Marseille and 23 draws. In Ligue 1, the defending French champion has 39 victories while the Marseille rival won 32 times.
