Manchester United could divert the transfer of Viktor Gyokeres, the Sporting CP star, to Arsenal, because the Red Devils are about to conclude an agreement to meet the evaluation of 70 million euros from the Portuguese club.

Gyokeres is determined to leave Sporting CP this summer because he wishes to join the Premier League. He therefore did not even introduce himself to the pre-season preparations for the club.

Negotiations between Arsenal and Sporting CP are at a standstill

Arsenal had approached Sporting CP about the transfer of gyookeres at the start of the summer transfer window, but the two clubs have not yet reached a player's value agreement. Faced with an estimated demand at 70 million euros, Arsenal proposed to pay 63.5 million euros immediately and the rest in the form of a bonus.

While negotiations are in a standstill, SIC now reports that Manchester United would be ready to take advantage of the situation and divert the transfer of the Gunners, because the club would have agreed to pay the price requested by Sporting CP.

Butfutebol reported that the delay in the transfer of gyookeres had obviously upset his father, who would have melted in tears in the night from Friday to Saturday, convinced that the transfer would not be done.

If Gyokeres ends up joining United this summer, this transfer will be a blow for the club in northern London, which desperately seeks to recruit a new number 9 to strengthen its attack. It remains to be seen where the Swedish striker will go, the divergent information suggesting that the Red Devils have not made any other offer and that the Emirates Stadium remains the most likely destination for the 27 -year -old.
