His 97 goals in 102 games will not be enough for him to go on good terms with the club and his supporters. The Swedish star, Viktor Gyökeres, will leave Sporting for Arsenal, and his departure does not like his old supporters at all. It must be said that the Swedish has dried up the resumption of the training of Sporting in order to force his departure, it was surely the factor that caused the supporters hatred. The latter therefore showed their dissatisfaction in their own way, brandishing a large banner during the friendly match against Celtic Glasgow (0-2), on which was written: “No one is above the club.”

When the disappointment goes back down, we imagine that the supporters of the Lisbon club will regret their attacker. Viktor Gyökeres has produced a breathtaking 2024/2025 season by scoring more goals than they played as games: 54 goals, 12 assists in 52 games, including 44 as a holder. The native of Stockholm will join Mikel Arteta in Arsenal, where he will undoubtedly be compared every weekend to his new “best enemy” Erling Haaland. The two players are alike in their style of play and will be keen to carry their team at the top of the Premier League.
