Paris Saint-Germain holds its first summer recruit. Free since the end of his contract with AS Roma, Renato Marin signed up until June 2030 with the capital's club. At 19, the Italian-Brazilian goalkeeper arrives in Paris after five training seasons in Italy, where he notably shone with the Primavera, the reserve team of the Roman club.

Born in São Paulo in July 2006, Renato Belluci Marin was quickly noticed for his scale (1.93 m) and his technical qualities. Arrived in Rome in 2020, he started with the U17 before winning the national championship in 2023. The following season, he established himself as the holder of the Primavera with 39 matches played, including 13 without collecting a goal.

Third in the hierarchy?

International U19 with Italy, the new PSG goalkeeper has already played 13 games with the Transalpine selection and reached the semi-finals of Euro U19 this summer. In Paris, he should first play a lining role, even third goalkeeper, behind Gianluigi Donnarumma and Matvey Safonov, and ahead of Arnau Tenas, who could soon leave the club.

“I am very happy to join this great team, it is a superb opportunity for me. It's a dream that becomes reality “he said on the official PSG website. “I would like to thank President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Luis Campos, coach Luis Enrique and his staff for this opportunity. I will give the best of myself for them and for supporters. »»

This arrival comes when PSG has still not extended Gianluigi Donnarumma, number one guardian whose future remains vague. In the meantime, Paris anticipates and secures the future in the post with a promising young profile.
