A season and a half in Germany will have been enough for Hugo Ekitiké to completely relaunch his career. Put on the closet by Luis Enrique at PSG, the French striker (23 years old) was first loaned six months to Frankfurt, in February 2024, before being definitively transferred there for 16.5 million euros. And here he is today about to join a European cador!

Author of a beautiful season with Eintracht, where he scored 22 goals and delivered 12 assists in 48 matches in all competitions, the former Parisian caught the eye of several clubs, notably in England. And according to RMC Sport, it was in Liverpool that he would have a good chance of landing during the transfer window. An agreement would have been reached between the player and the Reds.

Hugo Ekitiké will bring Big to Frankfurt!

The defending champions of England would have offered him a six -year contract, which he accepted, and would now negotiate his transfer with German leaders. A transaction that risks breaking a record since it could allow Frankfurt to make the biggest sale of its history -and a huge added value -, the sum of 90 million euros being mentioned.

Hugo Ekitike was also approached by Manchester United and Newcastle, but his desire would be to land in Anfield. For Liverpool, who has already started Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong in Leverkusen for 125 and 40 million euros respectively, but also Milos Kerkez in Bournemouth for 47 million euros, this would constitute a new big blow!
