The image of Jamal Musiala with his twisted left foot as he should never have been was not beautiful to see on Saturday evening. After contact with Gianluigi Donnarumma just before the half-time of the World Cup World Cup between PSG and Bayern Munich (2-0), the German remained on the ground while twisted in pain. Everyone quickly understood that the injury was extremely serious. Released on a stretcher, Musiala quickly went to take exams whose first results leaked on Sunday: fracture of the fibula.

A medical verdict unveiled by Sky Sport Germany who confirmed that the Bavarian footballer would be absent for a minimum of four months. A medical operation has already been scheduled for a Jamal Musiala who will return to Munich this Sunday and will go directly to the hospital where surgeons are waiting for it.

In his misfortune, the man of Bayern Munich can blow a little since his ankle is therefore not touched. His club feared that this was the case, which would then have indicated an even longer absence. However, it will take patience to Jamal Musiala whose return is not planned before next October. Enough to make him miss almost the first quarter of the coming season.

Musiala wants to play the 2026 World Cup

Once his convalescence period ended, the German international will have the major objective of finding all his sensations, and above all a sufficient level to reintegrate the Mannschaft which will compete, if it passes the qualifications, the 2026 World Cup.

As for the other Bayern players, they are now on vacation before returning to training in a few short weeks. A friendly match against Tottenham is already scheduled for August 7, then another five days later against the Swiss Grasshoppers training. Jamal Musiali will follow all this from afar.
