Olympique de Marseille is struggling to advance on one of its hot summer transfer window files. OM would like to keep Ismaël Bennacer, loaned by AC Milan last winter, but the negotiations between the two clubs are in a standstill.
And for good reason, the two parties cannot agree on the terms of a new loan and on the distribution of the player's 4 million euros in wages. While an option to buy up to 12 million euros was agreed during the first loan agreement, Olympique de Marseille does not want to take the risk of investing as much given the form and physical seeds of the player.
On the side of AC Milan, one thing is certain, we no longer want the Algerian international. Indeed, Ismeël Bennacer would not enter the plans of the Milanese coach Massimiliano Allegri. The player would not even be summoned to resumption of Rosoneuris on July 7 as indicated La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Saudi Arabia rather than OM?
Bad news for OM, Bennacer could fly to other horizons. Even if the player had expressed his wish to continue the adventure in the Marseille city, the Italian press evokes the interest of Serie A clubs, such as Bologna or even Fiorentina.
The player would also be courted in Saudi Arabia as revealed by Italian journalist Daniele Longo. Case to follow.
