The winner of the French World Cup was greeted with fanfare by thousands of LOSC Lille supporters during his official presentation.

Olivier Giroud, winner of the World Cup, received an enthusiastic reception from LOSC Lille supporters during his official presentation. The 38 -year -old striker, recently transferred free of charge to Lille, was presented in the heart of the Lille metropolis to thousands of supporters for his return to Ligue 1.. Giroud explained his disappointing passage to Lafc by declaring that the style of play in MLS “Did not necessarily suit him”.
The 38 -year -old was under contract until the end of the year, but the club and agreed to separate, allowing him to join Lille for free.

Giroud played 38 games and scored five goals in MLS

“The style of play in MLS did not necessarily suit me”, said Giroud during his presentation in Lille on Wednesday. “Return to France 13 years later is an incredible opportunity and challenge for me.”

Olivier Giroud will immediately start the preparation for the next Ligue 1 season with LOSC Lille, which will start in August.
