It has been a constant for years already: FC Barcelona is struggling to recruit players at each transfer window. The club's financial situation has been critical, and remains complicated today despite some improvements. At the same time, the very strict rules of the Liga financial fair play are also a huge headache for the Blaugrana management, especially in terms of the recording of new arrivals. However, this summer, the reigning Spanish champion club plans a rather animated transfer window which should exceed 100 million euros in expenses, all without necessarily selling.

Joan Garcia arrived for 25 million euros already, a sum that the Blaugranas paid cash, without payments in several deadlines as it is however usual in Barcelona and elsewhere. And the Spanish press indicates that Barça will be able to do the same for Nico Williams, who will cost around 60 million euros. Some media also evoke a well advanced operation for the little Swedish prodigy Roony Bardghji, while a defense reinforcement, a priori at the post of left side, is also expected. All, without the need for big sales and the players who will leave like Ansu Fati or Iñaki Peña will do it for residual sums, while Barça even allowed the luxury of freeing Clément Lenglet and could do the same for Oriol Romeu.

Barça has cash available

How to explain this new strike force which, without being exceptional compared to English cadors for example, was unusual at Barça lately? First, there is this famous deal with Nike who reported a lot of money. There Cadena Ser Thus evokes 155 million euros which entered the club's funds after the deal with the American equipment supplier, just in the form of a signing bonus. An amount that will not be fully intended for the transfer window, but which helps, necessarily. And that's not all. Aware of its financial problems, the club has decided to include percentages to resale at each player sale in recent years. A strategy that is starting to bear fruit.

As the newspaper points out SportBarça has already recovered 16.5 million euros this summer thanks to various transfers on which it still had percentages. Just on Jean-Clair Todibo, who became a West Ham player, the club took 8 million euros, and completed the rest with Ludovit Reis (Bruges), Ilaix Moriba (Celta), Alex Collado (Al-Shamal) and Alex Valle (Côme). And it's not over since Barça will affect 50% of the sale of the Spanish international Oscar Mingueza, today in Celta and very coveted, with a clause of 20 million euros and therefore potentially an additional 10 million for the Catalans. The club will also pocket 50% of a sale of Francisco Trincao, the Sporting player followed in the Premier League, and will also receive a few million here and there in the event that players like Mika Faye (Rennes), EZ Abde (Betis), Junior Firpo (Leeds), Mika Marmol (Las Palmas) or Ferran Jutgse (Bruges) change club in the coming weeks. This summer, Deco, Bojan, Joan Laporta and Company will therefore not need to count their money …
