A refusal and a whole world is changing. By choosing to finally stay at Napoli and therefore rejecting the approach of its heart club, Juventus Turin, Antonio Conte has probably turned the future of Dusan Vlahovic, one of the most chaotic files in recent years. Rapid back: bought a fortune by the old lady during the 2022 winter transfer window (€ 83.5 million), the Serbian striker was to embody the main offensive threat for the years to come. He did it only intermittently, losing at times his place as a holder.
In parallel, the negotiations for an extension of contract, the current ending in June 2026, dragged in length, rotting in passing the sporting situation of the player. A few weeks ago, the strategy was clear: Vlahovic will be sold to the most offering this summer, and this will finance the transfer of Randal Kolo Muani, whose first steps were promising. But everything was overlooked with the arrival of Igor Tudor, a declared fan of the Serbian striker, who therefore put him back on the ground. To sell it better this summer, it was said then.
Everything changes again
Except that Antonio's refusal tales to come back to sit on the bench of Juve led Piedmontese leaders, including the French Damien Comolli, to extend the stay of Igor Tudor, maintained and probably extended until 2027. And for Tudor, his attacker is called Dusan Vlahovic. Therefore, the negotiations must be resumed as for the contract. Because this is now the node of the problem. If in 2022, Juve was ready to spend crazy sums, this is no longer the case today. And the salary negotiated at the time is now off -budget.
Vlahovic thus saw his salary increase, for his last year of contract, to € 12 million annual, against € 10.5 million this last season. To give you a state of the salary grid of the Turin club, Vlahovic wins at least double any teammate. This explains the will of the leaders, who have not yet resumed contact with the Serbian agent, to lower his emoluments. The club World Cup will give a first overview of Vlahovic's state of mind, brooded by Tudor. A twist is no longer to be excluded, and this is not necessarily good news for Randal Kolo Muani.
