The destiny of Ansu Fati seemed written at the start of the transfer window. At 22, the Spanish striker has no future at FC Barcelona. Hansi Flick absolutely does not count on him and the Blaugranas clearly showed him the exit door, two years from the end of his contract. Very quickly, AS Monaco positioned itself to welcome Catalan. The latter agreed to land on the rock and the Asémists hoped to conclude the case by negotiating a loan with partial care of the salary.
Since then, nothing moves. And for Barça, it's a big problem. Like every summer, the blaugranas need liquidity, but this year is vital this year. Indeed, Barça finally wants to complete the transfer of Nico Williams. An operation that will cost 62 million in the abutments, namely the € 58 million in the release clause + € 4 million in taxes. Problem: the amount of the case obliges Barça to sell several players, including certain elements appreciated, and the Athletic makes things even more difficult by demanding to be paid in one go (which has become very rare in the planet of football.
Barça does not facilitate anything
You will understand, FC Barcelona must therefore sell, and not just a little. But in the Fati folder, it gets complicated. No sale is looming on the horizon and the interested teams (like Monaco) want to take only part of the imposing salary of a player being one of the five best remunerated elements (between 13 and 15 M €) of the Barcelona workforce. Except that the blaugranas must release from the payroll and therefore do not want to hear about this solution.
And according to ASthis file is dangerously bogged down. Ideally, if a transfer cannot be concluded, the Catalans would be OK to lend their player to a team paying the entire salary. The goal is to keep Ansu Fati and to be able to recover it in case the latter finally manages to hatch. A scenario that is obviously not suitable for the courtiers of the Spanish striker who have no desire to stuff the entire huge salary of the player and serve as a springboard at Barça. For the moment, this file is therefore deadlocked.
