PSG will have to work until the end to get out of group B of the Club World Cup. While he seemed to have done the hardest by upgrading Atletico Madrid in his first match, the capital's club completely revived the suspense by losing 1-0 on Thursday, against Botafogo.

Because with three points on the clock, PSG is second in its group and certainly always master of its destiny but the Parisians will not have the right to make mistakes on Monday, against Seattle. A new defeat would indeed most likely be synonymous with elimination and a draw could also not be enough.

On the other hand, a victory would certainly qualify the Parisians and could even be worth finishing in first place if Atletico dominates Botafogo.

Here are all the possible scenarios for PSG:

The first PSG in group B Si …

  • He beats Seattle and Atletico Madrid dominates Botafogo without going back to the difference in goals (+3 against -2)

PSG second in group B Si …

  • He beats Seattle and Botafogo does not lose against Atlético
  • He beats Seattle and Atletico beats Botafogo, going back to the difference in goals (+3 against -2)
  • He draws match against Seattle and Atletico does not beat Botafogo
  • He loses against Seattle by less than three goals and Atletico loses against Botafogo

PSG eliminated if …

  • He's draw against Seattle and Atletico Batafogo
  • He loses against Seattle and Atletico does not lose against Botafogo
  • He loses against Seattle by more than three goals apart (+3 against -3)
