This could not escape you: since June 6, Canal+ is no longer available on TNT channel 4. In response to the decision made by the Arcom de Rayer C8 of the French audiovisual landscape, the private group has withdrawn its paid channels from digital terrestrial television. And it is obviously not without consequences on its audiences.

To find the Canal+programs, viewers equipped with an Orange, Bouygues, Free or SFR box must now go to Canal 40 while those who have a Smart TV can access it directly through the MyCanal application. This considerably reduced the exposure of the encrypted chain.

According to data communicated by Médiamétrie and relayed by the site Puremediathe audience of the Access Prime Time, the time slot located between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., was divided by two this week on Canal+. Have notably been affected by flagship programs such as Aside And Clickwho have seen their faithful flee.

The CFC saved by Ligue 1?

During this period, the program Aside brought together only 52,000 viewers (0.3% of the public) while the program presented by Nathalie Lévy brought together an average of 117,000 curious people since the start of the season. Same thing for Clickhosted by Mouloud Achour, whose audience share remained blocked at… 0.0%!

This makes the worst fear for the Canal Football Clubbroadcast every Sunday from 7:25 p.m. during the season. The hearings of the magazine embodied by Hervé Mathoux, Laure Boulleau and Bertrand Latour have already dropped enormously in recent months and they therefore risk melting more without a clear showcase on TNT.

Unless of course the CFC Do not manage to attract people thanks to the co-diffusion, on Canal+ and on the future LFP channel, the Ligue 1 match on Sunday evening. This device would be planned in one of the two offers made by Maxime Saada, the president of the private group, to Nicolas de Tavernost, recently appointed at the head of LFP Media.
