What's going on with Christophe Dugarry at M6? Always well informed, the team of the team has not given any information since last year on the situation of “Duga” within the TV channel. As a reminder, M6 had struck strongly by enrolling the 98 world champion to associate it with the comments to Xavier Domergue on the 13 matches of Euro 2024 broadcast by the chain (including France-Pays-Bas in the group phase, France-Portugal in the quarterfinals and the Spanish-English final).
M6 has broadcast the big football competitions since the 2006 World Cup, in competition TF1, but has made the feat (quite unlikely for such a large audiovisual group) to stack the former unconvincing players as a consultant before the arrival of Dugarry. “Duga” is a reference after its noticed beginnings at Canal+. He is today an untenable polemicist on RMC. By landing on M6, he already hoped to continue the adventure for the 2026 World Cup, whose TV rights were fully bought by the group!
Christophe Dugarry, however, did not return to M6 in 2025. He obviously did not agree with the channel to comment on the final of the Champions League between PSG and Inter Milan, on May 31 in Munich. M6 first announced the only presence of Domergue to the comments before falling back on Antoine Kombaouré, former idol of the Parisian club, as a consultant. Luis Fernandez, Rai and Youri Djorkaeff were engaged for the front and post-match.
Dugarry replaced by Ferreri
“Duga” did not resume his role alongside Xavier Domergue for the Euro Hopes (June 11 to 28). W9 broadcasts the meetings of the Blueberries led by Gérald Batic and it is Jean-Marc Ferreri who completes the duo of commentators for the occasion. The former French international, winner of Euro 1984 with the Michel Platini generation, and 3rd in the 1986 World Cup, has been a consultant pointed at the fingering for many years for his lack of objectivity. We are still very far from the quality comments of C+ and Dazn…
The duo Xavier Domergue-Jean-Marc Ferreri began Wednesday with the entrance to the Espoirs, which ended in a zero result against Portugal (0-0), and continues this Saturday evening (kick-off 9 p.m.) with a France-general. Mathys Tel and his teammates will conclude in this group D with a meeting against Poland, next Tuesday, as part of this European under 23 championship organized in Slovakia. W9 will obviously offer the quarter-final and the semi-final of the French Hopes team in the event of qualification, then the final of the tournament on June 28.
