The Basque coach already has an eleven departure in mind for next season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen have already been officially announced, and Cadena serves that Alonso plans to have them both in his starting eleven. This is also the case of the left side of Benfica, Alvaro Carreras, and the rising star of River Plate, Franco Mastanuono. The Merengues are in negotiations for the two players, and although they hoped to recruit Carreras before the Club World Cup, he and Mastanuono will both play for their current clubs.

Even if this will clearly be the case for the Club World Cup, Alonso has an eleven departure in mind. Thibaut Courtois will be in the goals, while Antonio Rüdiger and Carreras will join Alexander-Arnold and Huijsen in a defense with four altered. In the midfielder, Aurélien Tchouameni, Jude Bellingham and, more surprising, Mastantuono are among his plans, with Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappé at a point.
Transactions for Mastantuono and Carreras
Alonso would have made a daring choice by betting on Mastantuono from the start. The 17 -year -old has never played outside Latin America and only obtained a regular holder in River Plate this season. The Merengues are currently negotiating with River Plate, and an agreement has been concluded for Mastantuono, River demanding 45 million euros.
Likewise, Benfica insisted that Real Madrid pays the release clause of 50 million euros in Carreras, while being ready to negotiate payment methods.
This certainly leaves the future of many uncertain players. David Alaba, Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal all seem to be secondary choices for Alonso after brilliant careers. In addition, the message addressed to players like Rodrygo Goes and Arda Guller would be clear if Mastantuono replaced them so quickly.
