The short-list of Italy to replace Spalletti
The media reports that a decisive interview is scheduled for Tuesday between Spalletti and Gabriele Gravina, the president of the Italian football federation (FIGC). The former Naples coach could then choose to throw in the towel, especially in the event of a new misstep against Moldova on Monday. He could thus withdraw if he considers that he can no longer carry out his mission at the head of the Nazional.
Anticipating this possibility, the leaders of the FIGC already explore avenues for its succession. Four names stand out, Stefano Pioli, currently in Al-Nassr, and Claudio Ranieri, recently retired after his visit to AS Rome.
