After more than a century of existence, Brescia is about to lower the curtain. The transalpine press indicates an upcoming bankruptcy for the Italian club demoted in Serie C this season (D3).
But failing to have paid the contributions necessary to start the next exercise, such as the wages of players and employees, around three million euros, Brescia will disappear.
Founded in July 1911 in Lombardy, Brescia Calcio saw some renowned players wear her jersey. We especially think of Roberto Baggio, finalist of the 1994 World Cup.
Remember Guardiola
The elegant and atypical Nazional playmaker played in Brescia between 2000 and 2004. We can also cite Pep Guardiola (2001-2003) or Andrea Pirlo (1995-1998 and 2001).
Roberto de Zerbi, current OM coach, must be particularly sad. Born in Brescia on June 6, 1979, he played 19 matches in 2008, for a goal scored with the Rondinelle.
