This Mercato period is a bit special. The championships are over and the Champions League ended with the PSG victory over Inter on Saturday. However, players are still not on vacation with regard to big clubs. Some have resumed training, because in 10 days begins the Club World Cup in the United States and its brand new formula at 32 teams launched by FIFA.

We mentioned PSG, the new European champion is active on a transfer window which closes its doors for the first time on June 10 to reopen them a week later. Management does its best to attract Franco Mastanuono, the new nugget of Argentinian football. Until then, the French club had taken a step ahead with an agreement in principle obtained for the summer of 2026, leaving the attacking midfield for another year in River Plate.

Real must anticipate its forecasts

But in recent hours, Real Madrid has made a shattering return to this dossier and is even well started to win the bet. Juan Calipha, the man who makes transfers to Casa Blanca, landed personally in Argentina to meet the 17 -year -old and his entourage. The attacking midfielder would give his preference to the Spanish club, which also sees two major problems before completing this operation.

Intially, Real planned to recruit the River Plate pearl in January but seeing PSG advancing forced it to anticipate its plans. We will have to activate the release clause by offering € 45, which had not really been planned, according to AS. Another constraint comes from Sportthis is the overbooking effect in the Madrid workforce. Admittedly Modric leaves but with the presence of Bellingham, Rodrygo, Brahim Diaz and Arda Güler, who is already in lack of playing time, the risk of traffic jam and distribution of playing times is real.
