The new format club World Cup may not have the successful success by the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino. While the competition begins on June 15, the fear of a fiasco is in the pipes.

For good reason, many places for the opening match, which will oppose Inter Miami and the Egyptian club from Al Ahly to the Hard Rock Stadium, were not sold. Indeed, the British newspaper
The Times reports that thousands of tickets are still available for the meeting.

And yet, Gianni Infantino puts a lot on this competition. In order to make it more attractive, the president of FIFA had decided to change the existing format by allowing 32 teams to participate, against 24 before. Gianni Infantino also hopes to attract crowds with the participation of Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami club.

Club World Cup, tickets distributed for free?

To avoid a possible disaster, FIFA has decided to take drastic measures. The major world football body has decided to lower the prices of starter tickets. Sold for 349 dollars last December during the draw, they are now cost 55.

However, this method does not seem to have convinced the public since many places are still available for all the matches of the competition. Faced with this situation,
The Times Indicates that FIFA could decide to give up certain places for free, in order to fill the stands of the American stadiums.
