PSG struck down by OM in terms of audience

Is this a sign that OM remains a more popular club than PSG in France? The audience of the Champions 2025 League final was much lower than that of 1993.

Last Saturday, it was M6 who had the honor of broadcasting the Champions League final in clear. 8.67 million viewers saw Paris Saint-Germain Torpiller Inter Milan (5-0) on this channel, according to Médiamétrie.

This corresponds to 39.9 % of the whole of the public aged 4 and over and 48.8 % of women responsible for purchases under the age of 50. This meeting was also broadcast by Canal+, which attracted 2.85 million subscribers to the four and 262,000 football fans on Canal+ Foot. A total of 11.78 million people watched
This match that will be a date in the history of the capital's club.

54.2% of the public watching television on Saturday evening in prime time was in front of the match. These figures allowed M6 and Canal+ to arrive in heads of the evening audiences. However, the main diffuser was expected to make better scores.

OM had done much better on TF1 in 1993

As a comparison, on May 26, 1993, the Champions League final between
Olympique de Marseille at AC Milan had brought together just over 15.2 million viewers on TF1, according to Médiamétrie. Retransmitted a Mecredi evening at the time, it corresponded to a market share of 62.6 %.

On August 23, 2020, the final between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich had also been broadcast on the first channel. It had brought together 11.4 million faithful, for 46.2 % audience share according to Médiamétrie.
