As surprising as it may seem, the PSG Champions League campaign was not successful in terms of the UEFA ranking. Indeed, following the update carried out by the European body on Tuesday, Real Madrid took over Manchester City, which had been a leader for two years. Paris Saint-Germain, it occupies fifth rank, is one more place than last year.

The fault of a calculation system taking into account the points of the last five years, which therefore withdraws from Parisians all their points from the 2020 campaign, which had seen them climb to the Champions League final against Bayern Munich. PSG is therefore preceded by Manchester City (2nd), Bayern Munich (3rd) and Liverpool (4th). On the side of French clubs, only two more rise in the top 50: Lille (31st) and Marseille (45th). Brest enters the first time in its history, in 108th place.
