This is AC Milan, according to the cross -day information of the day. Even if no contract has yet been signed, the Lombard club would be closest to attach the services of Modric. Igli Tare, the new sports director of the Rossoneri, made the Ballon d'Or 2018 a priority and hopes to convince him very quickly. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that discussions are in progress. Modric has received several offers worldwide, but wishes to continue to evolve at the highest European level – with the 2026 World Cup online, which he hopes to compete with Croatia.

Milan has already tried such similar in the past. The Milanese strategy is not new: to get Iberian veterans looking for a last challenge. Rivaldo, Ronaldinho and Fernando Redondo had joined San Siro with various fortunes. If Redondo had never been able to win because of a serious injury, Milan hopes that Modric can sign an enchanted last parenthesis.

Luka Modric, Destination Milan?

The choice of Milan would make sense in many ways. The Lombarde team will start a real reconstruction under the thumb of its new coach, Massimiliano Allegri. The arrival of such an experienced player would be a boon to supervise young Milanese talents. And for Modric, the opportunity to play in a major championship one last time is an additional motivation.
