World reference in terms of training, Masia is a real talent nursery. This season, Iñaki Peña, Pau Cubarsi, Alejandro Baldé, Gerard Martin, Hector Fort, Marc Casado, Marc Bernal, Gavi, Fermin Lopez, Ansu Fati and Lamine Yamal will have participated in this 2024/2025 of the Blaugranas season. Over the past few years, these many players have taken out as the Catalan training center and have been able to take a more or less important place in the workforce.

However, all the talents of FC Barcelona do not necessarily have the chance to have playing time in the first team and the passage of the Masia at the upper level is not always obvious. This, Deco the sports director understood this well and did not hesitate to sell certain elements at the right time in order to obtain a good financial compensation. Thus, over the past two years, FC Barcelona has collected € 60M thanks to its young people from the Masia as reported Marca.

60M € collected in 2 years

The most recent example is that of the left side Alex Valle. Blocked by competition from Alejandro Baldé and Gerard Martin, the 21 -year -old was loaned in Come after an experience at Celtic Glasgow. After 15 appearances, the Italian club decided to pay its release clause by 6 million euros. An interesting return on investment like that of Nico Gonzalez. Revealed at the same time as Gavi, the environment was sold at FC Porto for 8 million euros in the summer of 2023. Sold last winter in Manchester City, it brought in an additional 13.3 million euros thanks to a percentage on its sale.

Other interesting elements have reported money since the appointment of Deco like Chadi Riad who left for € 9M to Crystal Palace, EZ Abde which brought in € 7.5 million with his departure to Real Betis or Marc Guiu who brought back 6M € with his transfer to Chelsea. UNAI Hernandez was sold for € 5M in Al-Ittihad while Estanis Pedrosa went to the Sampdoria for € 3M. A strategy that has amplified, especially with the arrival of Bojan Krkic to supervise the loaned players and which allows Barça to afford a new source of income.
