Two former Premier League stars refused to play for José Mourinho's Fenerbahçe in their last game of the season.

Edin Dzeko and Dusan Tadic were not found after announcing their departure from the club after the match against Konyaspor. They had to receive commemorative plates on the ground, but estimated that the risk of troubles was too high and that they preferred to stay away after a disappointing season.

Tadic said in a press release: ” We made the decision with Dzeko not to play the last game. We did not want to harm the image of Fenerbahçe. Supporters have always supported us. I would have preferred it to be at the stadium, but the atmosphere is not very good at the moment. This is why it is better that it is so.»»
