PSG did it: this Saturday evening, Luis Enrique players won the first Champions League in the history of the club. In the aftermath of this historic success, the program was loaded. When they arrived in the capital in the afternoon, members of the Ile-de-France workforce carried out a parade on the Champs-Élysées, in front of tens of thousands of fans who came for the event. They then went to the Élysée, where they were received by Emmanuel Macron.
The President of the Republic had a good message for European champions. He ironically recalled his affection for Olympique de Marseille, while paying a beautiful tribute to the red and blue: ” Many know that I am a teenager who vibrated in another Munich 32 years ago. I am for the reconciliation of all this year. 32 years after OM, you won the Champions League. You did it in a sublime, monstrous way. You are the champions, we all vibrated. There was a 12th man, the French public. It was the victory of a whole team, united. It is a team, a state of mind, a will, a solidarity, an ambition. This is the football that we like to see and that you produced. I only want one thing: welcome you next year with a second star. I know it is possible, because you are hungry. Long live PSG, long live the Republic, long live France! »»
