An extraordinary evening promises to be this Saturday in Paris. While the Parc des Princes is preparing to vibrate for the final of the Champions League between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan, Roland-Garros, located just 614 meters away, will welcome the Night Session opposing Novak Djokovic to Filip Misolic. Two major events which, although different, may have the capital beat to the rhythm of their respective passions.

Nearly 48,000 supporters will come together in the park to follow the PSG-Inter Milan shock on a giant screen, while 15,000 spectators will attend the tennis match on the court Philippe-Chatrier. If tennis remains the priority of the tournament, the atmosphere of the Parc des Princes could invite itself to the spans of the Grand Slam, with cries and reactions heard at Roland-Garros.

Asked about this particular cohabitation, Amélie Mauresmo, director of the tournament, recalled the necessary vigilance: “We are as usual, in all circumstances, we will be very vigilant. We have the security service but we are not going to ban people from watching their phone. A goal can be disruptive. Yes, like at the Olympic Games. But, a priori, there will not be ten goals or twenty goals … If it disrupts once or twice, we will live with it. »» A realistic admission in front of an evening that could make an impression.

Reinforced security measures

The Paris police prefecture has made its arrangements by strengthening security around the two sites. The bicycle car park of the Molitor door will be closed at 8 p.m. to facilitate the management of flows, while lines 9 and 10 of the metro will remain operational late in the evening in order to channel the public and avoid any congestion.

Between football and tennis, Paris is about to live a historic night where passions will mingle.
