C1, a draw of death for OM

Qualified directly for the Champions League with PSG, OM and AS Monaco could inherit a very difficult course during the league phase.

This could be even more the case next season: with the presence of five English clubs and five Spanish representatives, Ligue 1 training in the Champions League – PSG, OM and Monaco while waiting for OGC Nice – are likely to come across heavy during the draw. The English and the Spaniards will not be able to compete during the league phase and, mathematically, the French are therefore more likely to come across first League and Liga teams.
Only PSG will obviously be part of the head of the heads of the start. As a reminder, in the new C1 formula, inaugurated last year, the qualified faces two opponents of each of the four hats (therefore including theirs). Parisians, finalists of the Champions League (and perhaps European champions on Saturday evening against Inter), will offer two high-flying shocks.
The head of the heads of the draw of the drawing of the Champions League (carried out on Thursday, August 28) will also welcome Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool (which form the top 4 in the UEFA coefficient in front of PSG, 5th), as well as Inter, Chelsea, Dortmund and Barça. Opponents very complicated for French clubs, especially for the Marseillais and the Monegasques, who are therefore more likely to come across Real, City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Barça than on Bayern, Inter and Dormund.

OM and Monaco in great danger

In hat 2, concerning the English and Spanish clubs that OM and Monaco will hope to avoid, we find Arsenal as well as Atlético and Villarreal. The yellow submarine is however a much less good team than the other clubs in this pot (there is also Atalanta). In the third hat is Tottenham, the winner of the Europa League in front of Manchester United, but it is the Napoli who will be the team to absolutely avoid. As a reminder, qualified can very well face two opponents of the same country …
Finally, hat 4 is strangely dangerous, with the 5th of the Premier League which is Newcastle (and not Nottingham Forest, who failed to overthrow Chelsea on Sunday), as well as the beautiful team of Athletic Bilbao, 4th in Liga. Galatasaray and Union Saint-Gilloise will offer burning trips for hexagonal representatives. As a reminder, the OGC Nice must be victorious from the 3rd round of qualifying and dams in order to compete in the LDC with PSG, OM and Monaco.
