The end of an era. Marie-Antoinette Katoto formalized this Saturday departure from Paris Saint-Germain, a club which she leaves after 14 years of attachments. At the end of the contract on June 30, the best manager in the history of female PSG (178 goals in 223 games) should continue her career at Olympique Lyonnais, according to information from Canal+.

Last week, Katoto played his last minutes in Parisian colors, coming into play in the 84th minute during the defeat in the D1 Arkema final against OL (3-0) at Groupama Stadium. This season was marked by tensions, especially after the final lost against Paris FC in the Coupe de France, where the attacker hung on with sports director Angelo Castellazzi.

At war with the management of PSG?

In a sober message published on Instagram, the player said: “Fourteen years later, it's time to change the horizon. I will only remember the beautiful memories. »» For his part, Angelo Castellazzi spoke of the situation with frankness:
“We are looking for people who want to be at PSG with the same project, with the desire for results. This is the same case for all the players at the end of the contract. The speech does not move: it takes a desire to stay in Paris and to be happy. »»

A former club's executive also stressed that Katoto “probably has things to blame himself for, but management is not perfect either”, stressing the complexity of relations within the club. Despite these tensions, the attacker remains a major figure of PSG, having marked her footprint on the club for more than a decade.

Now turned to the future, the player is preparing to take up a new challenge potentially at OL, while focusing on the Women's Euro which will start in Switzerland in early July. After a long story with PSG, Katoto is about to write a new chapter of his career in another club.
