Paris in total demonstration

PSG did not tremble. A week before its Champions League final against Inter Milan and in front of a full stadium in France, Paris Saint-Germain largely dominated the Stade de Reims (3-0) this Saturday, to win a sixteenth French Cup in their history. A net success, folded in less than 45 minutes, which confirms the excellent dynamic of Luis Enrique's men.

The pressure was Parisian as soon as you kick off. The first fifteen minutes were entirely to the advantage of PSG, which patiently circulated the ball until the Rémoise defense is cracking. The opening of the score intervened in the 16th minute on a transition sheds light: after an aborted offensive of Reims, Désiré Doué launches perfectly Barcola in depth. The striker does not tremble in front of Diouf and scored the first goal of the evening.

Three minutes later, the roles are barely reversed. Gifted, still untenable, overflows and center for Barcola, left alone at the second post. The double is unstoppable for the Parisian striker, who only has to push the ball into the empty nets (2-0, 19th). Reims, outdated, has never really found the solution to stop the fast and vertical game of the Champions of France.

Helpless reims, Paris in management

The Rémois have never managed to respond to the Parisian compressor roller. Just before the break, Barcola offers himself a new decisive contribution. Perfectly served in the left corridor, he addressed a tense center for Achraf Hakimi, launched at the second post. The Moroccan concludes without trembling (3-0, 43rd), already sealing the fate of a one-way finish.

The second period has lost intensity. With a comfortable score, the Parisians have stood their foot, managing their advance without forcing. Reims, for its part, never found the resources to relaunch the suspense. The Champenois only drew once towards the goal of Safonov, without really worrying it.

This new coronation confirms the Parisian grip on national competitions and ideally launches the last European deadline. Paris can now turn to Munich with ambition. For Reims, no time to gamber: the men of Samba Diawara will have to play their maintenance during the dam against Metz. A final chance to save their season.
