OM already thinks of 2026. After a strategic meeting in the United States between Frank McCourt, Pablo Longoria, Mehdi Benatia and Roberto de Zerbi, the club sealed a common roadmap. In a letter addressed to the members of the blue and white people program, OM wanted to reassure its supporters on the continuity of the sports and institutional project, reveals RMC Sport.
“These two days of exchanges made it possible to consolidate and reaffirm the unity of leaders around a common vision, essential to the sustainability of the project launched in the summer of 2024”specifies the mail. This homogeneity at the top of the club is considered crucial to keep the course in a very competitive environment.
The displayed objective is clear: “Sustainably install the club in the Champions League, season after season”. After a successful 2024-2025 campaign concluded by a second place in Ligue 1 behind PSG, Marseille wants to establish its status as a regular pretender on the European scene.
What about de zerbi?
Despite some rumors on a possible departure from De Zerbi, especially from Italy, the Olympian management wanted to cut short any speculation. The Italian coach is thus confirmed at the head of the workforce to carry out this ambitious project.
Thus, during this stage point with McCourt, Longoria, Benatia and Zerbi took stock of the past season and laid the foundations of the future. This meeting made it possible to strengthen cohesion between the decision-makers and to send a strong message: OM is focusing on stability and continuous progression to find the summit of French and European football.
