With the departure of Martin ZubiMendi for Arsenal, no candidate is clearly identified, but rumors in Argentina suggest that inzo Fernandez (Chelsea) would be the one on which they set their sights.
Several names have been mentioned by the Merengues in recent weeks, including Tijjani Reijnders and Angelo Stiller, but unlike Alvaro Carreras, Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold, the information concerning targeted players is much less clear. Many rumors in Argentina indicate, however, that Fernandez is at the top of their wishes list.
Rumors of an agreement between Fernandez and Real Madrid
The 24 -year -old has been periodically mentioned with Real Madrid, and even with Atlético de Madrid in recent months, but these rumors have intensified. According to MD, Gustavo Mendez said that Fernandez and his partner were looking for accommodation in Madrid. Julian Alvarez, from Atlético, would also have recommended a neighborhood. Mendez also says that personal conditions have been agreed between the two.
Real Madrid is linked to Enzo Fernandez
Chelsea does not try to sell Enzo Fernandez
Despite these rumors, Ben Jacobs showed the hopes of the Madrid. He claims that Blues have no intention of selling Fernandez, and that any offer should largely exceed the 121 million euros paid by Chelsea for its services. Although the Merengues are looking for a midfielder, such a high offer seems unlikely.
Chelsea has already sent a warning to Real Madrid concerning Fernandez, under contract in London until 2032, which means that any pressure for a transfer should come from the player or the blues. The Merengues may have to look elsewhere.
