Pogba soon back? Not there, especially not there …

He still dreams of shining, but the doors are slow to open up. Paul Pogba, suspended for doping and now free from any commitment, is waiting to find a football field. Since the end of his sanction two months ago, the Frenchman has struggled to seduce. Rumors circulated: a return to Serie A, an exotic adventure in MLS, or even a comeback in France. What if a return to France made sense? Apparently only. Because one of his former teammates has just cooled him seriously on an unexpected destination …

Yohan Cabaye spoke, and it is clear: according to him, Pogba would make a big mistake when returning … in the Premier League. “It's not the right time”,
says the old world of PSG and Newcastle. He notably points to the lack of rhythm of the world champion, absent from the field for over a year and a half. Cabaye doubts his ability to take the physical requirement of a championship renowned for its intensity. An elegant way of saying that England is no longer for him.

The strong message to Pogba: “Never return there!”

It must be said that Pogba is no longer this top player that Europe was tearing up. At 31, and after a parenthesis as long as painful, her contenders are scarce. Saudi Arabia has been mentioned for a time, just like MLS, but nothing concrete to date. Even his return to Juventus, however envisaged, seems to have been dismissed. Behind the scenes, some clubs are concerned about his physical condition, others of his permanent media coverage.

Pogba, a free fall rating

For Cabaye, Pogba still keeps a precious potential. “If he finds the form, he can be a real leader”he concedes. But the former international does not believe in an express resurrection in an environment as brutal as that of the kingdom. Between prudence and realism, the message is clear: Pogba must reinvent itself elsewhere, far from the English spotlight.

As summer approaches, the blur around Pogba thickens. Each day without announcement weakens its star image a little more in recovery. The world of football no longer expects it; It is up to him to make himself essential again. But for that, it will take much more than talent: time, humility … and good choices.
